Automation is a sign of progress, so it would be nice to be able to log in into Ikariam without typing in your user name and password.
This little application will do just that. It will log you into your account on a Test Server. Just copy the code below into a text file and save it with an .html extension, use UTF-8 encoding to ensure it works smoothly in Internet Explorer. It should work in any browser.
Replace "user name" with the desired player's name, and replace "your password" with whatever password your are using. This application only logs you into the Test Server, to use this method to log into other servers you need to obtain the correct URL. Look at the source code of the desired log-in page and obtain it from there.
Give the file a memorable name -- i.e. playerName.html Save the file somewhere where you can easily find it -- for instance on your desktop, or in Your Documents in Ikariam folder. Now, to log into Ikariam all you have to do is click on the file. Voila! and you are in. This is particulary useful for "multi-accounters".
The code above is contains Mark of the Web. There must be an empty line after this line of code.

This allows it to run smoothly in Internet Explorer.
Warning. Using this application may or may not be against the ToS of Ikariam or game rules. It may or may not be detectable. If anybody hacks your computer they will be able to steal your password, since it is stored in plain text. Don't use it for you cherished main account. And please don't use this method to autologin into your bank or Paypal. If a hacker gets hold of this file they will have your user name and password. So, my advice is use it only for games or unimportant email accounts, and light-hearted forums.
I use this auto-login technique to log in into yahoo.mail and Kurzweil's kurzweilai.net forum.
